Best Storage Ideas For The Archer And Olive Acrylograph Pens

by Design Team 15 Jun 2021 2 Comments

Hey, Masha here from Masha Plans.

Ever since the Archer and Olive acrylograph pens released, the game has never been the same!

They can write on anything, they are so juicy and Archer and Olive keep coming up with more and more amazing colors (just see how awesome these new spring releases are!).

For me they fastly became favorites for creating quote pages.

But that’s not what we are talking about today. Today we will be looking into ways to store those pens.

SUPPLIES

What will I use for this post? Well acrylograph pens of course!

My favorites are probably the jewel collection and the new spring releases. Plus lately I’ve been obsessing with gorgeous limited edition colors from the subscription boxes.

One more thing I’ll be using here is - boxes from A5 Archer and Olive journals.

I have more journals than I’ll ever need (and yet I still need more!), so I have plenty of boxes to put to use.

Which is always a great idea if you ask me, because the boxes are too pretty and made of such good material to simply discard them.

Before we get to the post, remember if you want to buy anything from Archer and Olive you can use code MASHA10 for 10% off your order.

STORING ACRYLOGRAPH PENS

Acrylograph pens are paint based pens and the best way to store them is horizontally.

Yes unfortunately placing your pens in a pretty vertical standing is not an option here. Or at least not the best way to go.

But the good news is there are still plenty of other options.

ORIGINAL BOX

This is probably the easiest solution - just store them in the box they come in!

That way, you definitely know you store them in the right position, plus of course whatever design of boxes Archer and Olive came up with it’s definitely something cute.

I don’t really have a very detailed photo of the box, since I chose a different way of storing my pens. But it’s definitely a cute and light box that has information on how to use and take care of the pens, as well as a blanding palette.

A5 JOURNAL BOX

This is how I personally store my acrylograph pens, and considering how many boxes I’ve accumulated by now, I was happy to stop hoarding them and starting using them instead.

What I did here is, I labeled each box and divided each box into two parts for 3mm and 0.7 mm tip pens.

I also added the blending palette on the back of the box cap, in case I’ll need those.

DIY A5 JOURNAL STORAGE

This option requires a bit more work, but it allows you to see the pen colors. Considering that each pen cap has a beautiful Archer and Olive logo, I really love this one.

It’s also pretty simple, so don’t worry! You don’t need any special supplies - just the stuff you probably already have at home.

The way I did it is just using scissors and a paper cutter to cut off the long side of both parts of the box. Then use some glue, or maybe an adhesive tape to make sure the top and bottom parts are stuck together.

I like it the way it is, but in case you want the pens to show off a little bit more you can always cut the box a bit shorter.

Finally just stack them on top of each other and you have a cute storage to display your pen collection and to easily access them.

STACKABLE CUBE ORGANIZER

I got really addicted to these and have probably too many in my collection! But they are wonderful to store your pens and easily access them.

I have a huge stack of these cubes on my desk and it’s not  just convenient - it makes me happy to see so many beautiful colors.

I love stackable cubes because they allow you to store your pens horizontally. It works for lots of pens, so even if you don’t have enough acrylograph pens to fill out the entire cube, you can always use it for your other pens.

MUJI PEN ORGANIZER

Finally, I had to mention this amazing storage, because I saw several people using it and I was stunned at how perfect they are for acrylograph pens.

It’s an acrylic storage with perfect little drawers that will keep your pens safe and make you happy with the beautiful colors.

This image is by Kate from @journalwithkate and OMG, doesn’t it look just absolutely perfect?!

A cool thing she did is that she labeled each pen with it’s proper color name. So that’s how I’m spending my evening - together with acrylograph pens and a label maker. Perfect!

Both these storages can be found on Amazon by the way.

So, what’s your favorite way to store your acrylograph pens?
