Hello! Ericka from @Crafteinated with a travel planning and packing list! I will also go over all the excellent journaling items I will take on my next trip. I plan on doing some traveling scrapbooking along my journey!
Before I can go, I need to make sure I have a comprehensive packing list! I will be using a pocket-sized travel journal, which is the perfect portable size!

- Calliograph
- Acrylographs
- Other Pens
- Metal Ruler

- Scissors
- Sticker Book

Travel Packing Spread
First, I gathered the supplies I would need to set up my pages in my pocket journal. I am so excited to use this size because of its small size and ability to take it anywhere! But you can use any size you would like.
The printable can help get you in the packing mindset by having you think about what you may need to take with you. Differed categories to plan your travel are:
- Weather
- How many days
- Activities
- Emergency items
- Journaling items
- Other
And items for the checklist are:
- Documents
- Clothing
- Toiletries
- Medicine
- Electronics
- Miscellaneous
I recommend completing the planning worksheet first so that it can help you hone in on what to take, precisely how much of each item, or any specialty items like a bathing suit!
I then put a header on the three pages I planned to use for my packing list.
To add some interest to the lettering, I used a grey brush pen for a shadow effect and a white gel pen to add some interest. My tip for this is to be consistent with the side you put the shadow on and how you decorate the lettering with the white gel pen. I used the gel pen on every first letter.
I used some plain blue washi to designate the space above and below the list.
I added a bit of pizazz by putting some stars and color around my title.
I added six columns, two per page, by dividing the three pages in half. I used a thicker pen to write in the categories outlined in the printable.
After the headings were on, I used my calliograph to add some color to the titles and paced some of the polaroid stickers in columns I felt would not get filled. You could always wait to do this step last if you wanted to be careful.
The final spread for my travel packing! I will be going on a trip soon, and I cannot wait to fill this out and get ready to go!
Packing the Essentials
I will be going on a trip to Alaska with my mother, but since journaling is such an essential part of my life, I had to figure out what I wanted to take with me. To make matters a bit more tricky, I am only carrying a backpack and a weekender for this fourteen-day trip! We have to pack light as there are some days when we will be traveling by train without a car.
To achieve this task, I decided to use my travel case from the Archer and Olive December subscription box to limit the supplies I take.
I started by putting some of the important pieces in the case.
All packed up!! It closes just fine, and I am excited to be able to take my supplies on the go!
Included in my journal packing:
- HP Sprocket, charge cord, and thirty extra polaroid stickers
- Rubber stamps from Archer and Olive, as well as some small wood base ones from Etsy
- Black stamp ink
- Blue sticker book from Etsy
- White and kraft flowers from Etsy
- Stamp block
- Eraser
- Mechanical pencil
- Eleven washi samples
- Whiteout
- Double-sided tape
- Archer and Olive watercolors in the wooden case
- Stork scissors
- Three acrylographs
- One calliograph
- White Archer and Olive gel pen
- Three other brush pens

- Pocket-sized journal and every day writing pen
Do you think I have enough?
