How To Doodle Cute Fruits And Vegetables

by Maria Irina 24 Aug 2020 0 Comments

Hey guys, Masha here from Masha Plans.

Today we’ll be doing one of my favorite things - we’re doodling! And I’ll show you how to doodle cute fruits and vegetables.

DOODLING

I love doodling! I’ve been practicing (and teaching doodling on my blog) since I started my very first Bullet Journal.

Dooling is a fun way to decorate your journal no doubt, but it also has tons of other benefits!

It can work as a therapy for you, since while you doodle, you can drift away a bit and find a calmer place in your mind.

It’s also a great way to develop your creativity and learn to see the world a little bit differently.

Creative thinking in term, can help you not only to create prettier BuJo pages, but also to look outside the box for solutions to different problems, real ones included.

SUPPLIES

What do you need for doodling?

Not much, just a notebook and some pens.

My favorite notebook for doodling practice is a B5 Archer and Olive journal, since it allows more space to practice.

As for pens, I love Faber Castell Pitt Artists Pens and maybe Tombow Twin Tone Markers for color.

FRUIT AND VEGETABLE DOODLES

But Masha, why would you pick such a weird theme for your doodles? Who doodles vegetables or fruits?

Doodling things you wouldn’t usually doodle otherwise is pretty challenging and is a great way to step out of your comfort zone and learn something new and awesome.

Plus, fruits and veggies can actually create pretty cool Bullet Journal themes! Think summer, pineapples, watermelons, and mangos.

And now I’m craving a fruit smoothie as I write this!

Finally, doodling fruits and vegetables is actually ridiculously simple and it can be a great practice to first - start building up some confidence in your doodles, and secondly - to learn how to see things in simple shapes which is a SUPER USEFUL skill.

HOW TO: FRUIT AND VEGETABLE DOODLES

Fruits and vegetables all are made of basic shapes, and the tutorials below will show you that.

For me, it means that they might be a bit too easy to do, so I wanted to add a bit more character to the doodles.

My favorite way of doing it is by animating them! So the first thing I did was to create a cheat sheet with different expressions which in term, I can add on top of the doodles to make them more fun.

With that out of the way, here are a few tutorials on how to easily draw fruits and veggies and turn them into cute characters.
