Fall Floral Border Designs For Your Bullet Journal

by Content Team 03 Jul 2022 0 Comments

There are so many ways to decorate your journal. Usually, we think of elaborate cover designs or cute doodles sprinkled about. There are amazing designs filled with a scrapbooking style or elegant watercolors. But one of the easiest ways to add pizzazz to your journal is through the use of borders, page breaks, toppers, and corners. These help to frame the page and the information on the page in an aesthetically pleasing way without compromising on a theme you may enjoy.

I’m Quinn from zquinns_art on Instagram, and I have a few fall floral border themes that will help to get you in the autumnal mood for your journal!

Supplies:

For these drawings, I used Procreate, and for my color palette, I used the Archer and Olive Fall Procreate Palettes. This means that if you want to recreate these designs by hand, you can use the Archer and Olive fall-themed acrylograph markers to get the same set of colors. I used colors from the cool fall, warm fall, bewitched, and spellbind collections!

Sunflowers

Nothing says autumn to me quite like sunflowers. They are one of my favorite flowers and they always brighten up a page!

Pumpkins

Of course, you have to have pumpkins when it comes to a fall theme! Try experimenting with colors; pumpkins and other gourds come in oranges, yellows, greens, and even whites. And I always love a good teal pumpkin theme, even if that’s not what’s in nature.

Acorns

I always seem to forget about trees when it comes to autumn. I blame it on living in Texas where we don’t have seasons so much as varying degrees of hotness. But you can’t go wrong with an acorn theme!

Mushrooms

Mushrooms have become a popular choice of theme. Archer and Olive even had their own set of mushroom stickers with the Mother Earth collection in the spring! They are quite fun to doodle.

You can check out my process of making these border patterns in the video below.

I have also included A5-sized printables for the different border patterns. This way you can print them out to use in your journals, cards, or anything else that you wish!

As always, feel free to tag me @zquinns_art on Instagram if you recreate these ideas! I’m always excited to see what amazing things you all create.
