Creating a Spring Bucket List in Your Bullet Journal

by Guest Blogger 02 Mar 2021 0 Comments

Hello everyone! It is Erin Floto from Erin Floto Designs here (@erinflotodesigns on all social media). Is it just me or has everyone been feeling cooped up for a very long time? Oh, right. We have been... But now that winter is winding down it is time to put on a mask, stretch those legs, and do some spring bucket list items. And what better way to get started than making a bucket list spread in your bullet journal.

Recommended Bullet Journaling Supplies:

  • Archer and Olive Notebook - I love using all sorts of mediums and there is very little ghosting or bleeding in these bright white (or kraft or blackout or rainbow) 160 gsm notebooks
  • Pen, Pencil and Eraser - Some options include decorating and drawing if that is your style and I love sketching options out first
  • Stickers (optional) - I’m showcasing some of my stickers that can be used to create this spread but these are optional of course!
  • Creativity - Always recommended by me :)

You can use my affiliate code on Archer and Olive’s website for a 10% discount. The code is EFD10.

With all of that said, let’s jump into setting up some bucket list pages, shall we?

1. Brainstorm Activities

This is where some creativity comes into play. What types of activities do you think of when you think of having fun in the spring? Here is a list of things that are included in the spring activities sticker sheet available on my website:

  1. Fly a kite
  2. Go on a hike
  3. Garden
  4. Dance in the rain
  5. Chase a rainbow
  6. Go camping
  7. Photograph the beautiful outdoors
  8. Go sunbathing
  9. Read a book at the park
  10. Feed the birds
  11. Eat some fruit

And there are so many more options out there! So get creative!

2. Get Inspiration

One of the best parts about the bullet journaling community is that there is inspiration everywhere! Instagram, pinterest, and of course, I’m going to provide you some here on this blog. Remember, if you are copying or inspired by someone’s work, tag them appropriately if you are sharing on social media!

Here are some of my favorites!

3. Start sketching and marking!

For my setup, I’ve decided to do a Bucket List Bingo. I’ve been all about including bingo boards into my bullet journal setups lately and today is no different. I’m creating a bingo with boxes 5x5. The board as a whole will have 25 spots to fill in with bucket list items. As with most bingo boards, I've decided to also give myself a "free space" with a heart in the center.

In addition to my spring bucket list stickers full of outdoor activities that I will be using, I will also be bringing in some indoor activities as well because I am an introvert and sometimes I just need some extra indoor time :)

4. Do all of the things!

Now is the time to go get things done. For my bingo boards, I just add a colorful outline just inside of the black box when I’ve done an activity. I always shoot for a “blackout” - meaning I complete every box on the bingo board. But I will settle for at least getting 5 in a row (down, across or diagonal) if it means taking some time for myself and doing some things that I truly love or goals that I hope to accomplish this spring.

I hope that this post has been a source of inspiration for you as you gather ideas and create your own spring bucket list.
