Easy Fall Wreath Using Calliographs and Acrylographs

by Ambassador Team 10 Aug 2024 0 Comments

Fall is my favorite time of the year, the leaves have the prettiest color with stunning backgrounds in nature and the air is so fresh to be out and do some fun activities. The changing season always inspires me to paint a new wreath and incorporate all the colors of the season. So here we are with another fun fall project. Calling out all the creatives out there, grab your favorite drink for a little self care time making this fall wreath. If you are not much into reading the blogs, I also have a step by step YouTube Video on this project. So make sure to check that out and follow along with instructions.

So let’s start by gathering all the supplies needed for today’s wreath. Remember you can use my code TWITCHERWRITES for 10% off on your orders at Archer and Olive.

  1. A Journal or A Notepad
  2. Calliographs/Acrylographs (Brush Pens)
  3. Something to draw circles with (Circle Maker or Paper Plates/Small Bowl)
  4. Pencil and Eraser
  5. Printable (Included)

You can always pick your own color palette but if you want to use the same colors I used, below are the colors I used for the fall wreath-

  • Fresh Moss
  • New Bloom
  • Stone Path
  • Honeycomb
  • Under The Stars

Let’s start !

Step 1:

Sketching out the wreath

Start by drawing two circles. Starting with the bigger one followed by a smaller circle inside the large circle, as shown in the image below. You can use the circle maker or simply use some plates and bowls from your kitchen cabinet of different sizes for two different circles. In between these two circles, is where we will sketch out our wreath. Feel free to use the printable if you do not wish to draw the leaves yourself or just for reference. Two different printables are included for the same purpose.

Fall Wreath Step by step

Step 2:

Adding colors using Brush Pens

Next, using Calliographs/Brush Pens, start coloring inside the leaves and add all the fall colors. I always start by finishing bigger leaves followed by the small ones.

Using Acrylographs and Calliographs

Step 3:

Adding small details using Acrylographs

Acrylographs are great for adding the small leaves and details. Here you can get as creative as you can, you can choose how much you want to add and give this wreath your own special touch. I like my wreath to be full and detailed so I added many tiny leaves and a few berries to add some more colors to the wreath.

Step 4:

Adding letters/words of your choice

To finish the wreath, I sketched out the words I want to hand lettering in the middle of the wreath using the pencil first. Again you can improvise here and add any sentiment or even names to make it into a personalized gift.

Lettering with Calliographs

Lastly for lettering I used the smaller tip of the Calliographs to finish my wreath. And we are done with our Fall wreath!

Useful TIP- You can make this wreath in any season by simply changing the colors of the wreath and the shape of your leaves. It will look very different each time with the above mentioned changes and your wreath will be a new wreath every single time :)
